The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;Los proverbios de Salomón, hijo de David, rey de Israel:
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;Para entender sabiduría y castigo; para entender las razones prudentes;
To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;para recibir el castigo de prudencia, justicia, juicio y equidad;
To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.para dar astucia a los simples, y a los jóvenes inteligencia y consejo.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: A wise will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:Si el sabio los oyere, aumentará la doctrina; y el entendido adquirirá consejo;
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.para entender parábola y declaración; palabras de sabios, y sus enigmas.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The fear of יְהוָ֥ה the beginning of knowledge: fools despise wisdom and instruction.El principio de la sabiduría es el temor del SEÑOR; los locos despreciaron la sabiduría y el castigo.
My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:Oye, hijo mío, el castigo de tu padre, y no deseches la ley de tu madre;
For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck. For they an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.porque aumento de gracia serán a tu cabeza, y collares a tu cuello.
My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.Hijo mío, si los pecadores te quisieren engañar, no consientas.
If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:Si dijeren: Ven con nosotros, espiemos a alguno para matarle, acechemos al inocente sin razón;
Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:los tragaremos vivos como el sepulcro, y enteros, como los que caen en un abismo;
We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:hallaremos riquezas de toda clase, llenaremos nuestras casas de despojos;
Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse: Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:echa tu suerte entre nosotros; tengamos todos una bolsa
My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:hijo mío, no andes en camino con ellos; aparta tu pie de sus veredas;
For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.porque sus pies correrán al mal, e irán presurosos a derramar sangre.
Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.Porque en vano se tenderá la red ante los ojos de toda ave;
And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives. And they lay wait for their blood; they lurk privily for their lives.mas ellos a su propia sangre espían, y a sus almas ponen asechanza.
So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof. So the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; taketh away the life of the owners thereof.Tales son las sendas de todo el que es dado a la codicia, la cual prenderá el alma de sus poseedores.
Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:La sabiduría clama de fuera; en las plazas da su voz;
She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words,clama en los principales lugares de concurso; en las entradas de las puertas de la ciudad dice sus razones:
How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?¿Hasta cuándo, oh simples, amaréis la simpleza, y los burladores desearán el burlar, y los locos aborrecerán la ciencia?
Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.Volveos a mi reprensión; he aquí yo os derramaré mi espíritu, y os haré saber mis palabras.
Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;Por cuanto llamé, y no quisisteis; extendí mi mano, y no hubo quien escuchase;
But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:antes desechasteis todo consejo mío, y no quisisteis mi reprensión;
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;también yo me reiré en vuestra calamidad, y me burlaré cuando os viniere lo que teméis;
When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.cuando viniere como una destrucción lo que teméis, y vuestra calamidad llegare como un torbellino; cuando sobre vosotros viniere tribulación y angustia.
Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:Entonces me llamarán, y no responderé; me buscarán de mañana, y no me hallarán;
For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of יְהוָ֥ה:por cuanto aborrecieron la sabiduría, y no escogieron el temor del SEÑOR
They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.ni quisieron mi consejo, y menospreciaron toda reprensión mía.
Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.Comerán, pues, del fruto de su camino, y de sus consejos se hartarán.
For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.Porque el reposo de los ignorantes los matará, y la prosperidad de los locos los echará a perder.
But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.Mas el que me oyere, habitará confiadamente, y vivirá reposado del temor del mal.
