Salvation Not by Works
2 Timothy 1:7-11

7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 7 Porque no nos ha dado Dios el espíritu de temor, sino el de fortaleza, y de amor, y de templanza.
7 οὐ γὰρ ἔδωκεν ἡμῖν ὁ θεὸς πνεῦμα δειλίας ἀλλὰ δυνάμεως καὶ ἀγάπης καὶ σωφρονισμοῦ

8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 8 Por tanto no te avergüences de dar testimonio del Señor nuestro, ni de mí, que estoy preso por él; antes sé participante de los trabajos del Evangelio por la virtud de Dios
8 μὴ οὖν ἐπαισχυνθῇς τὸ μαρτύριον τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν μηδὲ ἐμὲ τὸν δέσμιον αὐτοῦ ἀλλὰ συγκακοπάθησον τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ κατὰ δύναμιν θεοῦ

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 9 Que nos ha librado, y nos llamó a la santa vocación; no por nuestras obras, sino según el intento suyo y por la gracia, la cual nos es dada en el Cristo Jesús antes de los tiempos de los siglos;
9 τοῦ σώσαντος ἡμᾶς καὶ καλέσαντος κλήσει ἁγίᾳ οὐ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα ἡμῶν ἀλλὰ κατ' ἰδίαν πρόθεσιν καὶ χάριν τὴν δοθεῖσαν ἡμῖν ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ πρὸ χρόνων αἰωνίων

10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 10 mas ahora es manifestada por la venida de nuestro salvador Jesús, el Cristo, el cual asimismo quitó la muerte, y sacó a luz la vida y la incorrupción por el Evangelio;
10 φανερωθεῖσαν δὲ νῦν διὰ τῆς ἐπιφανείας τοῦ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ καταργήσαντος μὲν τὸν θάνατον φωτίσαντος δὲ ζωὴν καὶ ἀφθαρσίαν διὰ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου

11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 11 del cual yo soy puesto predicador, y apóstol, y maestro de los gentiles.
